Why Does Google Think Creed is the Worst Band In the World?
Perhaps it is the work of a Google Bomb, where several pages on the internet link to creed.com while describing the link as a link to the worst band in the world. After all, that’s how George W. Bush made it to the top of the Google search results for the keywords miserable failure.
Another view is that Google couldn’t find enough search results for worst band in the world and enough people have called Creed the worst band in the world that Google thinks that those phrases are synonymous.
A third hypothesis is that all three of Creed’s albums are selling used for only a penny on Amazon.com. Perhaps Google and Amazon have a secret partnership to exploit the cheapest used products…
Conclusion
Whatever the reason for these results, it is an obvious flaw in Google’s search algorithm that should be fixed. Google finally fixed the George W. Bush = Miserable Failure Google bomb after a couple of years by changing their search algorithm – something that should be done again to make Google an unbiased search engine when it comes to music bands.
