Google-Related Feature in Firefox 3
Easy Googler couldn’t possibly write an article without mentioning Google! Firefox 3 uses Google’s technology in a core function: Firefox 3 automatically checks all sites against Google’s huge database of known phishing sites. If you browse to a site that is on this list, Firefox will let you know and warn you before you view the page.
PC Magazine wrote a nice review of Firefox 3 where you can learn more about its updates and new features.

Using Your Browser’s Search Box
A large amount of web surfers still go to a search engine’s website, such as www.google.com and www.yahoo.com, to perform a search. With modern web browsers, there is a much easier way to search — directly from your browser! All four of the most popular browsers have a search box built in to them. Below is a screenshot of those four browsers and where their search boxes are located after a default installation:

From top to bottom: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari
So next time you want to perform an internet search, rather than typing in your favorite search engine’s address into the search bar and waiting for the page to load before you type in your query, you can just find the search bar and type in your search without loading a page first!
Each web browser has various search engines built in to its search bar. You can find more specialized search engines to install as well, such as a Wikipedia search and a Merriam-Webster’s dictionary search. Just click on the name of your browser below to go to a page where you can install more search engines into the search bar.
